Blacklight: Tango Down Available July 7

Blacklight: Tango Down

At the end of June it was released that Blacklight: Tango Down would be up on Xbox Live Arcade July 7.  Then Microsoft took the info back for reasons unknown and replaced it with a “coming soon” date.

At the time of the (edited) press release, Joystiq contacted Ignition for more information on the change.  A representative told them,  “There’s still no confirmed release date for Blacklight. We saw all the posts saying it’s the 7th … but we really don’t know if that will be the date. We should know later this week when the official launch will be. Officially, we are saying ‘summer’ until further notice.”

Yesterday though, Ignition confirmed that the game would definitely be available on Wednesday, July 7.  Don’t you just love the run around?

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, Blacklight: Tango Down is a shooter game published by Ignition Entertainment.  You can participate in the “Net War” where you fight tomorrow’s fights on a hyper realistic battlefield or you can fight your friends in the Blacklight universe.  Characters and weaponry are all customizable  so you can make your own unique soldier.  You can purchase Tango Down for 1200 MS points or $15 on Xbox Live Arcade.
