Let’s face it, nowadays if you have a cell phone but you don’t have music on it, you are old school. The Motorola Droid comes with a great MP3 player and is perfect for playing your music. Transferring music from your PC to a Droid does not take a technical genius. All you need is a few minutes and the instructions below.

Insert a MicroSD card into the Droid, This will give you more space for your songs.  MicroSD cards can be purchased at most electronics stores and electronics departments in department stores. Make sure the phone is on.

Plug your data cable into your phone and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer.  A notification will appear on the phone. Select connect with USB or USB connected.  Touch the “Mount” button on the Droid’s screen. If you are using a PC, keep reading. If you are using a Mac, skip the next paragraph.

Click on the “Start” menu and select “Computer” or “My Computer.” Find the Droid in your drive list and click to open it. Copy and paste or drag your songs into the Droid’s SD card drive folder, which you just opened.

On a Mac, your Droid will pop up on the desktop as a new drive. Drag your music files to the new drive.

Unplug your Droid and you are ready to listen to your music on the go. To remove any songs from the phone just locate the music file and select delete.
